Du haut de sa montagne, Pieter Both a dû contempler plus d’un dodo. Sous un ciel « rose gâteau coco », le volatile se dandine paisiblement. En avançant tout aussi paisiblement dans la création du monde des Zafers, j’ai commencé à introduire dans mes tableaux des arbres imaginaires et particulièrement colorés. Je voudrais à la longue ne plus avoir d’éléments réels dans mes tableaux et je travaille à me déprogrammer du dessin réaliste. Quelle aventure passionnante !
From the top of his mountain, Pieter Both must have contemplated more than one dodo. Under a "rose gâteau coco" sky (a pink colour particular to the coconut sweets of my childhood), the bird waddles peacefully. While advancing just as peacefully in the creation of the world of the Zafers, I began to introduce imaginary and particularly colourful trees into my paintings. In the long run, I would like to no longer have any real elements in my paintings and I am working on deprogramming myself from realistic drawing. What an exciting adventure!
