Cela m’a beaucoup amusé de voir mon chat endormi au pied d’un coussin sur lequel sont dessinés trois chats. Ce tableau d’une grande simplicité a voulu capturer ce moment. Je n’ai pas voulu ajouter d’autres objets dans l’arrière-plan, car cela aurait affaibli le thème du tableau. Ici, les éléments graphiques jouent un rôle important, les triangles au sol sont légèrement aplatis afin de créer une surface horizontale et les rayures sur le mur arrière renforcent le fait que la surface est verticale. L’utilisation des graphismes dans la peinture Zafer n’est pas simplement décorative.
It amused me a lot to see my cat asleep at the foot of a cushion on which three cats are drawn. In this painting, I wanted to capture the simplicity of this moment. I didn't want to add any other objects in the background as it would have weakened the theme of the painting. Here, the graphic elements play an important role, the triangles on the ground are slightly flattened in order to create a horizontal surface and the stripes on the back wall reinforce the fact that the surface is vertical. The use of graphics in the Zafer paintings are not merely decorative.
